B100 uses TI's CC2541 chip. CC2541 is a true system-on-chip (SoC) solution for Bluetooth low energy consumption and power optimization for private 2.4-GHz applications. It makes it possible to build robust network nodes with low overall bill of materials costs. CC2541 combines the excellent performance of leading RF transceivers with an industry-standard enhanced 8051 MCU, in-system programmable flash memory, 8-KB RAM and many other powerful features and peripherals. It is very suitable for applications that require ultra-low energy consumption. This is specified by a number of different operating modes. The short switching time between operating modes further reduces energy consumption. B100 highly integrates 2.4G wireless transceiver, modem and baseband part.
